WOW acres upon acres of sunflowers. I thought I grew a lot of sunflowers when I had about a hundred.

Oh man, it's been a few years since I've ridden. Beautiful shots.

Coming here is always a breath of fresh air! It surely looks beautiful up there in high altitude. :)

Gorgeous, Kate! These could be picture postcards or part of a travel brochure--we don't have anything like this in the Midwest! I'm ready to saddle up and come for a visit...except I don't ride horses:)

Hi, Rose, I'll bet you'd enjoy riding my horsie. She's a sweetie pie...

Love that second photo, the horse and rider in the middle of all those flowers. Lovely.

Nice! Horses kind of scare me (they're so tall!) but lovely scenes!

Hey, M;
Yes they are tall... I need a step ladder to get on Bella. But, I think it might have been hard to hike through those flowers. At some points they were as high as the horse's tummy!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh... this makes me miss my horse terribly! Beautiful shots and stunning scenery; the flowers are so bright and carpet the landscape like nothing else.

Gorgeous photos! I always love when the fields here below the mountains are covered in lupine.

Wow! Eye-popping gorgeous! Do they have a single track trail through there, too? :)

Kate/High Altitude Gardening said...

Oh, yes, biker babe! Plentiful single track trails. :D

Y'all need to come out for a horsie back ride next summer. Maybe we can do a wildflower blog convention! :D

I ride in the North Carolina mountains and on the coast but I have never ridden in the high desert. Looks beautiful. Would love to give it a try.
