The color and the flowers, a delight!

So the third ones is a Hibiscus, right? Do you need to give it a lot of supplemental water in Utah?

I have two H. moscheutos (Lady Baltimore, which I like a lot and peppermint-swirly one (maybe Luna?) which does not impress me as much.

Thinking about adding a H. coccineus (Texas Star) at some point...

Generally, I go for drought-tolerant plants, but I may make an exception for another Hibiscus ;)

Hi, Aaron ~ It's a Lord Baltimore and the only reason he survives is because I planted him adjacent to the in ground soaker thingy. So he hogs a lotta water. He really shouldn't be here. I just couldn't resist! Like you, I plant mostly waterwise goodies..

Ahhhhh! These are truly heavenly! And I think it's okay to have a few water hogs amidst a ton of drought-tolerant plants.
