The top one look almost painted. With all of our art skill we can only hope to emulate nature.

They're beautiful! I think I can smell them from here... I really love that second one. Gorgeous blend of soft colors, all.

Hi, Caite;
That blue one is my fave, too. It lives right outside my office window (at home) so I get to look at it all day long.

Glad you all like them. To me, they are the official sign of spring in my gardens. :))

Wow, I wish I could do a scratch and sniff on the screen. I would love to have the space for a lilac bush. I love the variety you have. You must be in heaven right now!

What an amazing variety! I love Lilacs, too! the variegated is so pretty! The 2 that came with my property do not bloom long, and hate to be cut & brought in the house! The first bad winter storm of last year took at least 1/3 off the tallest one. they both need a good haircut! Happy WW.

Gosh, that lilac with the pale edging, like a bicolour, I have never seen anything like that! How utterly gorgeous.

We have had a spectacular lilac year. And while my bush is about done (after about 3 weeks!), many around town are still in bloom. It's like they are making up for the last 3-4 years we didn't get any.

Those are gorgeous. I love the first one - I don't recall seeing lilacs with white edges like that before. Actually, I love them all. I need to plant some, as this is the first house I've been in without lilacs in the yard.

Oh, when the lilacs come out, that's when I know it's REALLY spring. Sigh.

SO pretty, I love lilacs. Bet they smell great too!

Kate, your lilacs are lovely! Is the first one "Sensation"? I planted a few at a client's house last year, but lilacs haven't bloomed here yet so I hope her's are as beautiful as yours is!

Wow, you have some gorgeous lilacs, Kate! If they all smell as good as they look, your garden must have a heavenly fragrance right now.

Oh, I'm so thrilled that everyone loves lilacs as much as me!

In mountain gardens, they truly are the harbinger of spring.

I apologize that I haven't responded individually as I usually do. Too many silly work obligations this week. When, oh when, will I win the lottery so I can play in the garden blog all day long...?

Lilacs from top to bottom:
- Sensation
- Beauty of Moscow
- The illustrious President Grevy (my personal fave)
- Tinkerbelle
- Agincourt

That pic of Sensation is not my girl though she will be soon. I simply had to purchase that one after I discovered her. The other gals are mine. :)

Happy WW.
