Just gorgeous scenery and it looks like it was a warm day for horseback riding. Our leaves are long gone so it is refreshing to the soul to see your beautiful golds and oranges and who doesn't love a mountain lake!
Hi, All! Happy Wordless Wednesday! Glad you enjoyed the fall leaves. Personally, I'm a little sad to see autumn's colors fading away.... :(
~~~~~~~~ Hey Snowcatcher; Took those pics on my birthday ride! Two weeks ago. We still have lots of pretty leaves though one windy day could easily change all that...
Locals~ The High Line Trail is a great one for hiking, too. Located in the Uintah Mountains about 40 miles east of Park City, UT. Access the trailhead along the Mirror Lake Highway. And, bring a camera... plentiful moose wading around in that lake! (Scared the pants off my pony! ;>)
Aww so pretty! I missed out on the mountain colors this year I think. Up around ogden the mountains have looked pretty grey since that first snow/rain storm a weekend or so ago.
Are there still colors up there? If so I might try make the drive up to see them this weekend.
Hi, Zombie! I haven't been up that high in the last couple weeks, so I don't know for sure but there is still pretty color along Round Valley. And, I still have leaves on my trees. FYI, I've got your seeds ready. Just need to get me arse over to the post office. ;)
What gorgeous trees you have! I can see one of several reasons you enjoy horseback riding--it has to be the perfect way to enjoy this stunning scenery.
Hi, All; Thanks and Happy Wordless Wednesday. I'm glad you enjoyed the pics though I can't really take much credit for that - I think it's the camera not me. Anyhoo, it was a fun ride. Enjoy these fleeting autumn days while you can. :)
Kate, a couple of times I've gone to your blog post from fb. I read it, enjoy it, type a comment full of accolades that your deserve and then......google will not let me sign into my account. Dang, I hate that.
The camera might have a little to do with it, but you're the one who takes the camera to the most glorious of places. And you must have read at least a few pages of the manual because the photos are simply gorgeous.
HI Kate - gosh what gorgeous photos. I love the autumn for all its vibrant reds, yellows and oranges. Thanks for this post! How cool to be wandering the trail on horseback too!
Kate girl do you know how lucky you are ? : ) .. I can almost smell the horses (I love that smell : ) and hear the clump as they walk by .. it is soul quenching where you live girl! Joy : )
That second capture is a show stopper. Excellent work.
Hi Kate, Those are stunning pictures of the fall color. No words are required they speak for themselves. Take care, Jen.
Seeing your beautiful photos makes me wish to be a local and own a horse . . . so as to join you all on this amazing ride. ;.)
What a great ride through all that Autumn colour.
just gorgeous!
Looks like an absolutely beautiful ride! Happy WW
Your red leaves are spellbinding! I want to know when you took those. Our high altitude leaves disappeared last month!
Your new blog background rocks, too.
what a pretty fall day for picture taking and horse back riding! Do the horses ever try to snack on a tempting shrub?
It surely looks like a fun ride. Even the horses appreciate the sceneries and autumn colors, haha!
Really lovely color and photos too. Our color isn't nearly as beautiful here in the south.
Thanks for sharing your photos. :)
Beautiful! Love these photos and I'd love to see this area in person some day. Have a wonderful WW!
It's definitely fall. So pretty.
Happy WW, Tufa!
They're Quaking Aspens... Ya know I think the horses enjoy shuffling through those crunchy leaves as much as humans do...
That looks so fabulous!! I love the amount of trees mixed with the beautiful leaves.
Great shots and I love the beautiful trees. The trail riders look like they have a wonderful day.
Looking up through the canopy is heavenly.
Your pictures speak for themselves, Kate ... you have a beautiful life!
You live in very beautiful country! Snowy sometimes, but lovely always!
That picture of the forest of birch trees in stunning. I love the color play of the yellow leaves and birch bark. Have a great weekend!
aloha kate,
what beautiful colors and countryside you are showing us today...really refreshing
Hi Kate,
Magnificent colors! I am so glad we have ample sunshine in Colorado and it looks like you get your fair shair in Utah.
Rosey
I lived in Colorado for 10 years and now I am in the midwest. The fall is just never as pretty here as it is in the high country.
Hi, Elva;
I'm from the Midwest, too. A 'flat lander' for many, many years. IMHO the mountains make everything prettier. ;-)
