Wordless Wednesdays: Sundance Film Festival

I live in the tiny town where this guy hosts his Sundance Film Festival.

You never know who you might see. Though I can pretty much guarantee they'll be shorter than you'd expect them to be.

Local's Tip: The best 'gooking on stars' window is NOT in the evenings. It's early afternoon when they sneak into the No Name Saloon for one of those legendary Bloody Marys.

Okay... a 'somewhat' wordless post.. it seemed to require explanation. :)

  3. I never get up there during the festival. Too crazy! I'd rather skulk around Bob Redford's house up the canyon. You could hide quarters in that man's laugh-lines.

    Hey Kate, I've taken photos with that moose before! lol Downtown Park City is a fun place to visit. I've never been there for the Sundance Film Festival. I'll need to get up there sometime.

  5. Thx, Caite!

    Well, Donna, Chez Kate has vacancies. Pack the bags and come for a visit. I know you could use the break...

    Ha! Susan, you're so funny. We should storm his castle sometime...

    Happy WW, Ramona!
    I have mixed emotions about that moose. Mostly because she looks better in jeans than I do! :D

  7. I dunno Shady...

    That moose has the tall, skinny bone structure this 5 foot 3 garden gnome (aka me!) has always dreamed of.

  8. Very cool! I was in Park City a few years ago and enjoyed a few drinks at the No Name Saloon. Such a cool spot of the world...

  9. Your post is far far better than Entertainment Tonight.

  10. I just read a report about a red air alert in that area. Going to movies and seeing the stars looks like more fun!

  11. These lofty insights remind me of living in Whistler ... where also you never know who you might bump into on the slopes or otherwise. Thanks for the follow on twitter. LA.

  13. Ok, now I'm really envious of where you live:) They just don't make them like Robert Redford anymore...well, maybe George Clooney comes close.

  14. Hi, Daisy Girl;
    If you get back this way, you be sure to give me a jingle.

    Yep, Troutbirder;
    Bad, bad air quality in the valley which makes me feel blessed to live high above all of that.

    True, true, Powderate;
    I got bumped from the ski lift line a few years back when Hillary Clinton was taking some turns...

    It's a fun time, Melanie;
    The festival has just begun. My first movie is Monday night: Martha Marcie Mae Marlene. And, I have NO idea what it's about..

    Hi, Rose!
    Redford's hold up at the Sky Lodge this year. We could crash his party if you come pay me a visit... ;>)
