I don't have these myself. Should, though. I have seeds for an all pink variety. Maybe I'll sow them for next year. I passed your place last weekend, I think as I headed up I-80 towards Rockport and Echo Canyon.
Waaah! They're so pretty. I need to get a bed ready this fall and plant those seeds you sent come next spring. The more pictures I see the more I want to come and see you're garden. I think I'm kinda envious of those bikers you mentioned in the previous post.
I love the Hollyhocks. An old fashioned flower that bring back a lot of memories for me. The double blooms are so pretty Kate. Mine are doing terrible this year. The Japanese beetles have them shredded. Grandma use to grow them beside the outhouse. LOL! I will try to save you some of the Monet Moment lobelia seeds.
These tall slender gals are stunning in their single and double displays. I don't really have a good place to grow holly hocks. I have one that has come up in a pathway. It was only about 2foot tall but it bloomed prettily. She was a single affair. I don't remember planting her but must have. I love garden mysteries.
Oh so many years ago as a child my mom taught me how to make dancing dolls from 3 blossoms. I would mix colors and line them up on the window sill to enjoy for a day.
So pretty! I love that last one, is it white or peach? I can't wait until next year when my plants will finally be in flowering stage. I just planted this year and they are so small yet.
Your hollyhocks are so beautiful. They are flowers that I really love. I don't grow them too often because of the rust, but when I do, I always love them.
Those are beautiful! :) I'm your newest follower.

ReplyDeleteYou have a tremendous variety of colors. Those deep crimson ones leave me breathless. I'll bet they wouldn't grow very tall in my weedy patch, though!
Oh, ya never know, Snowcatcher;
ReplyDeleteI would be quite delighted to send you a goodie bag...
