  2. Wow! Are all those columbines blooming right now? Mine finished blooming months ago and all I've got are dried seedpods on the plants now...

    Are late June columbine blooms normal in Utah?

    Or do different columbines bloom at different times?

    PS - Would you like to exchange blogroll links? http://GardenofAaron.com

  3. Hi, Aaron;
    We have a very late growing season, this high in the mountains (planting season just began 2 weeks ago.)

    Yep, they all bloom at the same time, though they'll bloom until October, with some serious deadheading.

    I will add your link.

  6. I love columbines. I will never forget the fields we'd find when I was a forest service worker--we'd crest a ridge and the entire field below would be filled with columbines.

  8. I adore columbines and you have a gorgeous collection of them. The yellow and white caught my attention but also the yellow and blue. I love how they change constantly too, every year is a surprise as the colours mix together.

  9. Absolutely gorgeous, Kate! I love columbines, but so far I have only a couple that have established in my garden. The 'Rocky Mountain Blue' is my favorite.
