Every February, these big dudes pay us a visit. And, they're no dummies. They're hanging out inside the Park City city limits ~ where they can rest in my backyard ~ safe and sound...

Beautiful creatures! We actually have some elk near us--a neighbor raises them, and I always try to get a peek of them through the trees as I drive by.
They are amazing. I remember as a child going out west with Mom and Dad on a vacation and seeing herds of them. The elks were so much bigger than the deer we have here. Beautiful shot of them Kate. Hope you are all settled into the new digs.
