I vote a spider's web spangled with dew.

Good guess!!

You're not even close, but it's still a good guess. :D

It's a black hole with a light shining from the great beyond... or not...

I vote for the center of a flower, Alcea?

I have not a clue. I am going to let my brain work on it for a bit...not that it will help.

Christina, my dear, you've picked a favorite flower of mine.

Caite, I'll pop over to your blog in the a.m. [when my tired brain is working] and fill you in.

Jan -- you're getting warm. But what kind of black hole could it be??

Not enough coffee yet to guess -- but very cool shot....

Kate girl ... is it one of those water filled jackets/cones .. you put around tender plants .. ie tomatoes .. to protect them from cold and frost ??

I vote for a fancy Photoshop filter on an eyeball!

Cool, creative guesses, one and all!
In reality the pic is not nearly as interesting.

Hanging in the corner of my hotel room, (the Nines) was a 4 foot long crystal lighting fixture. I just stuck the camera inside the crystal hangy down things, clicked, and this is what I got.:)

Happy Wordless Wednesday!

Darn. I was gonna guess that it is the inside of a garden hose, looking out.

*grins*

Sweet shot.

It has to be that place where all of my dead flowers have gone. LOL!
It is such a beautiful picture Kate.

Wow. You had me going. I almost wish you hadn't given it away yet. I was going to guess the inside of a kaliedoscope... Cool shot!

Very interesting shot! I'm glad you posted the answer; other than a supernova a ten billion miles away, I was coming up blank.

Not anything plant related--I feel a little cheated! But cool pic.

Kate/High Altitude Gardening said...

Oh, I s'pose I should have waited a wee bit longer to post the answer but your guesses were SO much more creative than the picture's origin. I thought it best to spill the beans. ;D

I would have never guess right -- but very cool shot.

Kate,

Very creative and beautiful! I also really love your new spring header - gets me excited for all the flowers popping up. I think I will have to find some new pictures to take for my header as well. Here's to spring!

Thx, Everyone;
Glad you liked it. It's always fun to download photos since I'm the quintessential point and shoot girl. Half the time, I don't remember where I've been. And, I never know what I'll see once I import them into the computer.

Carol ~ So nice to see you up and about in the blogosphere. Here's to a speedy recovery. :)

Happy Gardening,
