Your window garden is alive with color! My favorite is the miniature rose bud. So delicate and full of life.

Hi, AZ;
The baby roses are my fave, too. It's 6 below zero here tonight. So, I'm thankful for an indoor garden. :)

Gorgeous flowers!
I am so green with envy. I found you through the WW blog. I love my flower gardens, but health keeps me from doing much anymore... so I will return to enjoy yours!
Hope to see you are my blog sometime:)

Ahhh, indoor flowers--what would we do without them! Thank you for your comments on bloomingwriter, Kate--they are much appreciated. I'm revamping how I deal with the blog, so that should also help matters.

Hi, Grammy;
Thanks for stopping by. I noticed you're a Wisconsin Gardner - I'm an ex-Minnesotan. That's where I learned to garden indoors. Kept me sane during those long, sub-zero winters. :)

Hi, Joy!
Yes, lots of flowers indoors right now but most are destined for new homes. I'm on a tight budget for holiday gifts, this year, so I grew stuff for all the gals on my Christmas list. :)

Hi, Joy - Thanks for stopping by. I'm curious to see how your blog revamp goes. Yours is one I visit quite often though until recently rarely left comments. That's not because I'm rude. More because I'm dumb. :D

Took me awhile to get with the program and realize that if I'm visiting a blog and enjoying the contents I should take the time to say so...

What a great Wordless Wednesday! Hope you have a fantastic day!

Kate, you have a beautiful indoor garden! Wow - do you have lots of south side exposure? - Gloria

Kate/High Altitude Gardening said...

Thanks, Carol - Your Wordless Wednesday was lovely. I need to send KC over there - she's my snowshoe buddy tho I'm getting the feeling she's not really up for it this winter! :))

Hi, Gloria - Loved your true confession this morning. I may have to fess up to mine with the apple seeds. Yep, the flowers wouldn't agree but my house is almost too sunny --- lots of southern exposure.

Hi Kate~~ You've definitely got a gift for indoor gardening. I couldn't help notice the little turtle on the side of the pot. How cute is that?

Kate/High Altitude Gardening said...

Hi, Grace;
He's the 'good luck' turtle. I place him on the sides of the pots I really, really, want to grow. :))

Beautiful! I think the orange one, I think an amarylis (sp?) is my favorite.

Kate/High Altitude Gardening said...

Thx, Sue ~ I hope you are not too buried in the big snows coming your way.

Your amaryllis looks fab! I have some bulbs coming by way of a midwestern visitor next week! Can't wait to get them started!

Kate/High Altitude Gardening said...

Hi, Jan!
Bulbs from a friend are the very best kind of bulbs to grow... :)

Beautiful! I can only hope that my amaryllis eventually looks half as good as yours--no blooms yet.

Just saw your post about making spritz. This has been a holiday tradition at my house for years. The cookie press is sometimes a little tricky for the grandkids to handle, but they enjoy adding all the sprinkles!

Just beautiful! The amaryllis is gorgeous! Of course, the rose is a favorite too! Lucky you Kate to have a sunny window like you do. :)

That rosebud is beautiful. I've got roses on my mind because I am giving away Right Rose Right Place by Peter Schneider. You and your readers still have about 36 hours to visit and leave a comment to enter the drawing. I'll choose the winner on Sat. Dec. 12. In the morning.

Kate/High Altitude Gardening said...

Thanks, Bookworm. Are you planning to review Animal, Vegetable, Miracle? Maybe you good do a guest post over here. Every gardener I know loves that book...

Kate/High Altitude Gardening said...

Hello Commonweeder and welcome. Free stuff? I'm in! :)) I shall check out your site...

Kate, the book is on my list to read, just haven't got to it yet :)

Kate/High Altitude Gardening said...

Well, maybe I'll review it and send 'em your way to buy the book! :D
