Wasatch Wildflowers

I slept like a dead person, after a full-day hike in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Last week's heavy rains have inspired a spectacular show:

Indian Paintbrush & Something Else*

Sunflowers & Geraniums

Wasatch Penstamon

Mountain Sunflowers

Paintbrush

More Paintbrush

Clearly I love Indian Paintbrush

Wild Asters

* I'm not very good at identifying wildflowers. Please let me know if I got some wrong...

Oh my gosh Kate how beautiful, you must have been in heaven. Wonderful pictures, I have seen that purple flower around here but can't remember what it is called.

Was that up at Albion Basin? Did you meet any moose? They seem to think the flowers are nummy.

Ah-Penstemon! That's what I purchased but couldn't remember the name (I know, I should have kept the little plastic tags)

Aster just coming now, although mine I think are much smaller than the one that you show.
